Kenston won the last time they faced Riverside and Adam Barr did his part to make sure it happened again. The Bombers slipped by the Beavers 32-31 on Friday thanks in part to Barr, who threw for 178 yards and two touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Kenston's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise.

When it comes to explaining why Riverside lost, don't look at Kyndall McCaleb. Despite the final result, he rushed for 219 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.9 yards per carry. McCaleb was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 56 yards.

Kenston has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Riverside, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Kenston will venture away from home to face off against Mayfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Riverside, they will head out to square off against North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Beavers will be up against the Rangers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
