Mansfield made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Southwood, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Mansfield put the hurt on Southwood with a sharp 24-8 win on Thursday. The Wolverines' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Mansfield moved to 2-9 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak. As for Southwood, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
