Meanwhile, Cardinal Spellman fell victim to Martha's Vineyard Regional and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vineyarders. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Cardinals' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Jason Cunningham spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 16-4. As for Cardinal Spellman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.
