Basketball Recap: Uvalde Comes Up Short

Uvalde played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Devine Warhorses 66-22. The Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-8.

Despite the defeat, Uvalde had strong showings from Amilee Pulido, who posted ten points, and Natalia Cabralez, who earned eight points.

Uvalde has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Devine, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-8.

Uvalde will head out to take on Somerset at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Devine, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Carrizo Springs at 6:15 p.m. Carrizo Springs will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Devine surely won't give up without a fight.
