Basketball Recap: Berean Christian Falls to Dreyfoos School of the Arts in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Berean Christian had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 71-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dreyfoos School of the Arts Jaguars. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Berean Christian lost, don't look at Jayden McCants. Despite the final result, he posted 29 points. Another player making a difference was Caden Cochran, who earned 12 points.

James Griffin went supernova For Dreyfoos School of the Arts., going 7-for-16 to rack up 24 points and seven boards. The contest was Griffin's third in a row with at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Turner, who put up ten points and four steals.

The victory got Dreyfoos School of the Arts back to even at 1-1.

Berean Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Glades Day at 6:30 p.m. on the 2nd. As for Dreyfoos School of the Arts, they have already played their next game, a 64-51 defeat against West Boca Raton on the 20th.
