Baseball Recap: St. Patrick Triumphs

The St. Patrick Shamrocks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Lakes Eagles on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Shamrocks.

St. Patrick's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Lakes, with the defeat, they broke their 11-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Patrick will venture away from home to square off against Joliet Catholic at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Hilltoppers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Shamrocks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lakes, they are taking a road trip to face off against Lake Forest at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Scouts will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
