Basketball Game Preview: Apex Cougars vs. Green Hope Falcons

The Apex Cougars will head out on the road to challenge the Green Hope Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Apex has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight losses, while Green Hope will come in with three straight victories.

On Friday, Apex came up short against Middle Creek and fell 53-43.

Meanwhile, Green Hope hadn't done well against Green Level recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Green Hope secured a 41-37 W over Green Level.

Apex better keep an eye on Abigail Brown. She was instrumental in Green Hope's win, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 14 boards. The match was Brown's sixth in a row with at least 16 points. Sarah George was another key player, putting up nine points and eight rebounds.

Green Hope pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Apex, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-19.

Apex ended up a good deal behind Green Hope in their previous matchup back in January, losing 61-44. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Brown, who dropped a double-double on 39 points and 13 boards.
