Basketball Game Preview: University Titans vs. Central Valley Bears

University is 0-10 against Central Valley since January of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The University Titans are taking a road trip to square off against the Central Valley Bears at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Saturday, University didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Kuna, but they still walked away with a 52-48 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Titans' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 126th in Washington, while the Kavemen are ranked 46th in Idaho).

Meanwhile, Central Valley put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Gonzaga Prep 60-45. The 60-point effort marked the Bears' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Central Valley's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for University, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

University came up short against Central Valley in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 60-54. Can University avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
