Baseball Game Preview: Rocky Mountain Grizzlies vs. Kuna Kavemen

Rocky Mountain is a perfect 10-0 against Kuna since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Grizzlies will head out to face off against the Kavemen at 3:30 p.m. Rocky Mountain's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Kuna's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Tuesday, Rocky Mountain needed a bit of extra time to put away Eagle. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Mustangs 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Grizzlies have posted since March 14th.

The team relied heavily on Saadiq McCain, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Kuna might've scored the first runs on Tuesday, but it was Ridgevue who claimed the real prize. The Kavemen came up short against the Warhawks, falling 13-3. The Kavemen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kuna saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Whitt, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Rocky Mountain's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Kuna, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Rocky Mountain took their victory against Kuna in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Grizzlies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
