Pymatuning Valley has gone a perfect 5-0 against Maplewood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Lakers will head out to challenge the Rockets at 5:20 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Maplewood came out on top against Harding on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run second inning. The Rockets were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Skippers. The Rockets haven't had any issues with the Skippers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Claire Urchek, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Raegan Krieg, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one triple.

Maplewood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .519. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Maplewood pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Pymatuning Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3-1.

Pymatuning Valley took their win against Maplewood in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0 score.
