Football Game Preview: North DeSoto Griffins vs. Franklinton Demons + Official Tickets

The North DeSoto Griffins will square off against the Franklinton Demons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North DeSoto knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully Franklinton likes a good challenge.

North DeSoto is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 56-13 win over DeRidder. 56 seems to be a good number for the Griffins as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

North DeSoto got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kenny Thomas out in front who rushed for 141 yards and two scores on only 12 carries. Thomas has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Another signal caller making a difference was Luke Delafield, who threw for 245 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: North DeSoto was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 296 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 214 rushing yards in 12 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Franklinton entered their tilt with Jennings on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 40-14 victory. The result was nothing new for the Demons, who have now won six contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Franklinton's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for North DeSoto, their victory bumped their record up to 11-0.
