Basketball Recap: Emmonak Extends Winning Streak to Five

Emmonak came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Russian Mission Brown Bears with a sharp 75-50 victory. The Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

Emmonak's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points over those games. As for Russian Mission, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Coincidentally, Emmonak and Russian Mission will both be playing St. Mary's the next time they take the court. Russian Mission will head out to face St. Mary's at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, while Emmonak will play them later in the day, at 7:15 p.m.
