Football Recap: William Campbell Comes Up Short + How To Watch

William Campbell extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were dealt a 47-6 defeat at the hands of the Randolph-Henry Statesmen. The Generals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Statesmen apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

As for Randolph-Henry, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1. That looming 47-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

AJ Walton was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 127 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards.

William Campbell and Randolph-Henry could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. The Generals (ranked 304th) will meet Gretna (ranked 145th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Randolph-Henry will face off against Lunenburg Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (305 vs. 149).
