Baseball Game Preview: Head-Royce Jayhawks vs. Redwood Christian Eagles

For the second straight game, Head-Royce will face off against Redwood Christian. The Jayhawks will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Head-Royce will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Head-Royce is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 20-1 margin over Redwood Christian on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Jayhawks with their most commanding win of the season.

Judah Forst was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, earning two RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaden Choi, who went 4-for-5 with ten RBI, four runs, and two triples. Those ten RBI gave him a new career-high. Evan Friedman was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs.

Head-Royce kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matches.

Head-Royce has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
