Volleyball Recap: George Jenkins Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

George Jenkins and Freedom squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but George Jenkins had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Patriots. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered since May 7, 2024.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-18, 25-16.

Freedom was led to victory by Fernando Mendez and Jan Paul Matos. Mendez had seven digs and two assists, while Matos had eight digs and two assists. That's the most assists Mendez has posted since back in April.

Having lost for the first time this season, George Jenkins fell to 23-1. As for Freedom, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 21 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season.

George Jenkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Freedom, they have already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Horizon on the 13th.
