Softball Recap: Bernstein Has No Trouble Against Roybal

After only two runs in their last matchup, Bernstein made sure to put some runs up on the board against Roybal on Monday. The Dragons put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 20-10 victory. Considering the Dragons have won four contests by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Bernstein got a massive performance out of MICHELLE GARCIA, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one double. GARCIA is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last 12 games she's played. KAYLEE HENRIQUEZ was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two triples and two stolen bases.

Bernstein was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in six consecutive games.

Bernstein's record now sits at 5-8. As for Roybal, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 7-4.

Bernstein has already played their next matchup, a 10-8 win against Orthopaedic on the 30th. As for Roybal, they will venture away from home to take on Belmont at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans are facing the Sentinels at the right time seeing as the Sentinels are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
