Soccer Game Preview: King vs. Flour Bluff

King hasn't had much luck against Flour Bluff recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The King Mustangs will challenge the Flour Bluff Hornets at 6:00 p.m.

King is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Alice.

Meanwhile, Flour Bluff had already won 13 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.4 goals) and they went ahead and made it 14 on Friday. They never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by three goals or more this season.

Flour Bluff pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 47 goals over those ten matches. As for King, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14-1.

King suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Flour Bluff in their previous meeting back in February. Can King avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
