Baseball Game Preview: Whitney Wildcats vs. Rio Vista Eagles

The Whitney Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Rio Vista Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitney's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Rio Vista's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Whitney will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating West, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Whitney walked away with an 8-3 win over West last Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Rio Vista made sure to put some runs up on the board against Hico on Tuesday. Rio Vista put the hurt on Hico with a sharp 10-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory got Rio Vista back to even at 8-8. As for Whitney, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Whitney took their victory against Rio Vista when the teams last played back in March of 2016 by a conclusive 16-3. Will Whitney repeat their success, or does Rio Vista has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
