Volleyball Recap: Champlin Park Comes Up Short

The Champlin Park Rebels didn't have quite enough to beat the Prairie Seeds Academy LYCANS on Tuesday and fell 3-2. While the Rebels didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the LYCANS 25-19 in the first set.

The 3-2 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Champlin Park lost were decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 31-29, 25-23, 26-28, 15-12.

Jayden Moua had an outrageously good game for Prairie Seeds Academy as he had 27 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Moua has posted over his last five matchups.

Champlin Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Prairie Seeds Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Champlin Park is set to face off against their familiar foe Anoka at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Prairie Seeds Academy will square off against rival Como Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
