Recap: Sheldon Panthers vs. Everton Tigers
The Sheldon Panthers's five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They managed a 36-32 victory over Everton. The win was just what Sheldon needed coming off of a 58-20 defeat in their prior contest.
Olivia Sartin and Jordan Daniels certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Sartin dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds, while Daniels scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Sartin scored a full 43.8% of Everton's points, the tenth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Sheldon's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Everton, they bumped their record down to 3-6-1 with that defeat, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Sheldon will be home for the holidays to greet Golden City at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Everton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Niangua at 5:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
