It was a good run, but Moreau Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Branham Bruins by a score of 2-1.

Marcelo Molina-Aced paced Moreau Catholic's offense, picking up eight kills. Molina-Aced were helped by Bryan Zhou and Henry Hathaway, who contributed ten assists each. Hathaway was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Moreau Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 24-3. As for Branham, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.
