Basketball Game Preview: Montgomery Academy Eagles vs. Thorsby Rebels

The Montgomery Academy Eagles and the Thorsby Rebels will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Montgomery Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Thorsby likes a good challenge.

Montgomery Academy is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Trinity Presbyterian: they outscored them in every quarter. Montgomery Academy's victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.3 points. As for Thorsby, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Montgomery Academy against Thorsby in their previous meeting last Tuesday, as the squad secured a 91-37 win. In that match, Montgomery Academy amassed a halftime lead of 54-21, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
