Pender had won five straight home games dating back to last season and Jaheim Lambe did his part to make it six on Friday. It took a bit of extra time, but the Patriots secured a 32-26 win against the Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs in overtime thanks in part to Lambe: he rushed for 148 yards and one TD on only nine carries, and also caught one score. Lambe also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles and defending one pass.

When it comes to explaining why Wallace-Rose Hill lost, don't look at Jamarae Lamb. Despite the final result, he rushed for 252 yards and three touchdowns. Lamb's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 168 rushing yards.

Pender's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Pender wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 62-29 win against South Columbus on the 19th. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Goldsboro at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. This will be the Bulldogs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
