Harlan County's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pike County Central Hawks, sneaking past 4-2. The Black Bears haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Jesse Gilbert spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up eight Ks.
