Shadow Ridge's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They strolled past the Desert Oasis Diamondbacks with points to spare, taking the game 55-39. The Mustangs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Several Diamondbacks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alyssa Atkins-Dowd, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Kazel Jones, who had four points.

Shadow Ridge's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-3. As for Desert Oasis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Shadow Ridge will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Rancho at 5:40 p.m. on December 27th. Desert Oasis will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Arbor View at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
