Franklin County came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Central Magnet by a score of 54-44. Given the Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while Central Magnet are ranked 204th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Franklin County's win bumped their record up to 18-12. As for Central Magnet, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season.
