Baseball Recap: Charles Wright's Loss Ends Nine-Game Winning Streak at Home

Charles Wright dropped their record down to 16-6 on Friday, which also ended the team's nine-game streak of wins at home. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-0 to the La Center Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Friday.

As for La Center, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games.

For La Center's part, the result came thanks to Justin Fuller's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks. Fuller has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brady Brandenburg was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
