Softball Recap: ITW David Speer Academy Starts Season with Victory at Home

ITW David Speer Academy took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 15-10 victory over the Northside Mustangs. The win continues a trend for the Pride in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Brianna Robles, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Amaya Tinsley was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Robles wasn't the only one working in the hit department: ITW David Speer Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. ITW David Speer Academy will take on Trinity at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northside, they will head out to square off against Maine East at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
