Softball Game Preview: Mililani Trojans vs. Wai'anae Seariders

The Mililani Trojans will head out to challenge the Wai'anae Seariders at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Mililani knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Wai'anae likes a good challenge.

Mililani is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Hawaii's top teams: Nanakuli, who was ranked 22nd at the time (Mililani was ranked first). The Trojans put the hurt on the Golden Hawks with a sharp 14-2 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Golden Hawks: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Wai'anae came up short against Campbell on Thursday, falling 12-1.

Wai'anae's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Mililani, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1-1.

Everything went Mililani's way against Wai'anae in their previous meeting back in March, as Mililani made off with a 15-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
