Recap: Plainfield Central Wildcats vs. Naperville North Huskies
The Plainfield Central Wildcats managed to keep up with the Naperville North Huskies until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Plainfield Central was beaten by Naperville North 69-37. Plainfield Central lost against Naperville North in their previous head to head back in January of 2020, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 67-56 score last time.
Naperville North's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kendall Johnson, who scored 19 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydni Fink, who scored 10 points along with 8 assists and 5 rebounds.
Plainfield Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Naperville North, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Aurora Central Catholic the next time they take the court. Naperville North will head out to face Aurora Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Plainfield Central will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
