Preview: Wake Forest Cougars vs. Northern Durham Knights
The Wake Forest Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Northern Durham Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Tuesday, Wake Forest came up short against Hillside and fell 55-43. Wake Forest has not had much luck with Hillside recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Wake Forest had strong showings from Chiquora Miles, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds, and Audra Hillman, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Hillman is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Northern Durham's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Vance County at home and fell 65-10. Northern Durham was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-8.
Wake Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Northern Durham, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
