Basketball Recap: St. Petersburg Catholic Takes a Loss + How To Watch

St. Petersburg Catholic managed to slip by Saint Stephen's Episcopal the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Barons were beaten by the Falcons 75-38 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Barons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 487th, while the Falcons are ranked 146th).

Lawaiian Long continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, putting up 22 points. The contest was Long's fourth in a row with at least 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Boyle, who posted nine points.

This is the second loss in a row for St. Petersburg Catholic and nudges their season record down to 5-5. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

St. Petersburg Catholic and Bloomingdale will round out the year against one another at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Sarasota Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
