Baseball Game Preview: Jacksonville Golden Eagles vs. St. Clair County Fighting Saints

For the second straight game, Jacksonville will face off against St. Clair County. The Golden Eagles will square off against the Fighting Saints at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Jacksonville proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by nine) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They never let St. Clair County get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Golden Eagles have posted since March 18th.

Jacksonville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-16 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games.
