Basketball Recap: Benedictine Find Success

Benedictine's tournament run continued when they took on Poly on Sunday. The Benedictine Cadets walked away with a 47-39 victory over the Poly Engineers. The 47-point effort marked the Cadets' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Benedictine's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Poly, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Benedictine will finish 2024 at home by hosting The Carmel School at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The Carmel School knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Benedictine likes a good challenge. As for Poly, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lake Clifton on January 2, 2025.
