Basketball Recap: North Shore Comes Up Short

After flying high against Alexander last Friday, North Shore came back down to earth. The North Shore Wildcats were outmatched by the New Town Eagles and fell 69-36. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in January of 2022.

North Shore's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for New Town, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

North Shore will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Trenton at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for New Town, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the New Town Eagles duke it out with the Stanley Blue Jays at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in New Town's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Stanley has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
