Softball Recap: Tinora Gets the Win

It was close, but on Thursday the Tinora Rams sidestepped the Miller City Wildcats for a 12-10 win.

The team relied heavily on Madison Spangler, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Alexia Rios was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Tinora was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Tinora's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-15. As for Miller City, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.

Looking ahead, Tinora will venture away from home to challenge Antwerp at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Miller City, they will welcome Continental at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season.
