Softball Recap: George Ranch Comes Up Short

George Ranch lost against Fulshear back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Longhorns fell 11-7 to the Chargers. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ella Kolenko was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Abigail Dominguez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

George Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 8-14-3. As for Fulshear, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-5.

George Ranch and Fulshear should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Longhorns will challenge Alief Elsik at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (474 vs. 984). Meanwhile, Fulshear (ranked 153rd) will meet Alief Hastings (ranked 1124th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
