Softball Recap: Addison Takes a Loss

Addison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 15-3 to the Jonesville Comets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 15-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Addison saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nevaeh Edison, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Lilly Votzke also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Addison's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Jonesville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Looking ahead, Addison is taking a road trip to face off against Britton Deerfield at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jonesville, they will face off against Springport at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for the Comets: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while the Spartans have snatched up seven consecutive wins on the road.
