Shining Light Academy took a 12-run defeat the last time they faced off against Asheboro Hybrid Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Knights came out on top in a nail-biter against the Warriors on Thursday, sneaking past 8-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

The team relied heavily on Christian Connor, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Shepherd Hansen, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs.

Shining Light Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
