Preview: Ada Cougars vs. Seminole Chieftains
The Ada Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Seminole Chieftains at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Tuttle scored an imposing 59 points on Tuesday, Ada still came out on top. Ada enjoyed a cozy 73-59 victory over Tuttle.
Ada got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Devon Maccollister out in front who scored 20 points along with five assists. Another player making a difference was Keith Cook, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Seminole earned a 51-42 win over Stroud on Friday. The win was just what Seminole needed coming off of a 74-40 defeat in their prior game.
Ada pushed their record up to 15-6 with that victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Seminole, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-13 record this season.
Ada strolled past Seminole when the teams last played back in January by a score of 61-46. Does Ada have another victory up their sleeve, or will Seminole turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
