Baseball Recap: Franklin Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Franklin won the last time they faced Oak Ridge and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Franklin Wildcats walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Oak Ridge Trojans. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Franklin got a great performance from Dylan Wood as he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, Brandon Williams was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Franklin hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oak Ridge struck out 12 times.

Franklin pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Oak Ridge, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Franklin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 5-4 victory against Granite Bay on the 5th. As for Oak Ridge, they have also already played their next game, a 10-2 loss against Bellarmine College Prep on the 8th.
