Football Recap: Dougherty Valley Wildcats vs. Piedmont Highlanders

Friday just wasn't the day for Dougherty Valley's offense. They had to suffer through a 41-0 loss at the hands of the Piedmont Highlanders. The game marked the first time this season in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Piedmont had a senior duo take command as Markos Lagios threw for 279 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes and Sam Shelby picked up 193 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Shelby was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 65 yards.
