League recap: Wossman scores huge upset over Bastrop

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Wossman, who took down 75th ranked Bastrop, 46-44. Cameron Lewis during the win.

Neville extended the longest winning streak in 4A District 2 this week by beating West Ouachita, 50-7. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Tigers.

The Rams' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Christian Doaty threw for 291 and 2 touchdowns and Jamari Payne had 166 yards receiving. On the ground Antwon Green chipped in 94 yards. Green helped Bastrop's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 43 yards.

He was 15-26 with 1 interception.

Doaty put up the best numbers in passing as Bastrop fell to the Wildcats. Doaty's favorite target this week was Payne, who caught 9 passes for 166 yards.

Bastrop's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Rams feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Doaty has thrown for 2,197 yards and 20 touchdowns this season, while Payne has 71 catches for 1,103 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Franklin Parish takes on Wossman. The Patriots are currently in second, while Dale Zimmerman's team is in third.

The Chiefs lost to Neville 50-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
