Volleyball Game Preview: Phillips Wildcats vs. Englewood Stem Panthers

The Phillips Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Englewood Stem Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Phillips and five for Englewood Stem.

On Tuesday, Phillips came up short against Horizon Science Academy-Southwest and fell 2-0.

Meanwhile, Englewood Stem also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Woodlawn by a score of 2-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-12.

Phillips' defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Englewood Stem, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Phillips beat Englewood Stem 2-0 when the teams last played back in September of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
