Basketball Game Preview: Moffat County Bulldogs vs. Delta Panthers

Moffat County has won eight straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Delta has won eight straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Moffat County Bulldogs will host the Delta Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Moffat County is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They strolled past Rifle with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 54-38. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 50-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bears cut but never quite recovered from.

Moffat County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Caitlyn Adams out in front who posted 15 points and seven rebounds. Adams is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Mena Tucker, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, Delta blew past Basalt, posting a 46-6 victory. The game marked the Panthers' most dominant win of the season.

Moffat County is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for Delta, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Moffat County took a serious blow against Delta when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 58-20. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Delta's Taylor Somers, who went 9 for 13 on her way to 18 points and seven rebounds.
