Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hubbard). They skirted past the McKinley Red Dragons 59-57. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Red Dragons back in December of 2024, they had to take a 52-48 loss.

Leading Hubbard to victory were Layla Songer and Khamyah Howell. Songer went 6 for 12 on her way to 16 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals, while Howell went 7 of 13 en route to 19 points along with five boards and three steals. Howell is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Claire Murphy, who posted eight points and five assists.

Hubbard's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9. As for McKinley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Hubbard has already played their next contest (against Struthers), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. McKinley has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Poland Seminary.
