Football Recap: Russell Triumphs

It's playoff time, and Russell had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Bourbon County Colonels by a score of 14-7 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Devils.

Russell found their leader in sophomore Kaiden Benge, who rushed for 114 yards and one score. Those 114 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Benge.

Russell's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Bourbon County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Russell is taking a road trip to take on Lloyd Memorial at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Devils will need to watch out since the Juggernauts have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests. Bourbon County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
