Basketball Recap: Chesterfield Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

If McBee wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Chesterfield, they should've done a better job of containing Temia Chapman. The Chesterfield Golden Rams came out on top against the McBee Panthers by a score of 49-42 on Saturday thanks in part to Chapman, who posted 17 points along with seven boards and six steals. Those 17 points gave her a new career-high.

Kai Pace was another key player, putting up ten points along with five boards and four steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last five games she's played.

Chesterfield's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7. As for McBee, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chesterfield will welcome Andrew Jackson at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Andrew Jackson will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Chesterfield surely won't give up without a fight. As for McBee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Buford at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
