Soccer Recap: Upper Columbia Academy Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with St. George's

Upper Columbia Academy faced St. George in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Lions fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against St. George's this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 two weeks ago.

Upper Columbia Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for St. George's, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2-1.

Coincidentally, Upper Columbia Academy and St. George's will both be playing Riverside Christian the next time they take the pitch. The Dragons will host the Crusaders at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Lions will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
