Basketball Recap: West Lowndes Comes Up Short

West Lowndes was the 53-5 winner over Winona when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The West Lowndes Panthers fell just short of the Winona Tigers by a score of 44-42 on Friday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Lowndes' defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Winona, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-13 record.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the West Lowndes Panthers challenge the Houlka Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Lowndes is facing Houlka at the right time seeing as Houlka is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Winona, they will host O'Bannon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
